Elementary Language Arts


Research:   Reading instruction in CISD reflects research and best practices.

Expectations:  Expectations for the reading curriculum are clearly articulated and aligned within and across grade levels.

Allocation of Resources:  CISD supports the implementation of the Literacy Plan through allocation of resources.

Development of Staff:  Reading instruction in CISD is supported by comprehensive staff development.

Success:  Students in CISD will read on grade level by the end of third grade and continue proficiency in reading at each grade level thereafter.
