Emphasizing the highest standards of individual and ensemble music fundamentals and performance skills, the CISD Band Program will provide students with a quality, goal-centered music education while nurturing a life-long appreciation for music.

The CISD Orchestra Program will nurture a life-long appreciation of music. Setting the highest standards of excellence in musical skills and artistry, students will achieve success and personal fulfillment through teamwork, discipline, and commitment.

The Choral program will develop successful vocal performers who are confident, literate musicians, that will learn a love and appreciation for music through the highest level of artistic excellence. This will be accomplished through superior student-centered instruction, integrated technology, parental involvement and positive community relations.

Our Elementary music program will provide its students with a comprehensive, standards-based music education that develops music literacy and fosters a lifelong appreciation for music. This will be accomplished through quality instruction and enriched musical experiences in a child-centered, positive environment that is supported through school, community and parental involvement.

The Theatre Arts Program will foster the development of essential theatrical skills for all students through quality performance. By working cooperatively and emphasizing team building, our students will exhibit the highest ethics as critical thinkers, lifelong learners and leaders with the necessary attributes to be successful.

The CISD Visual Arts Program will engage students in a challenging, nurturing environment, that inspires individual confidence, independent thinking, and creative expression based on knowledge and technical skills. Quality instruction will develop a passion for learning, fostered through an enduring relationship with the visual arts.

Our dance program will inspire students’ accountability and ownership of their dance education. Through quality programming and aligned instruction, students will achieve higher-level critical thinking skills and artistic performance excellence. The dance program will provide educational opportunities beyond the classroom, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster community involvement.
