Conroe ISD Kicks Off Community Collaborative
CONROE, TEXAS (March 18, 2024) – Conroe ISD held its first meeting of the inaugural 33-member class of the Community Collaborative in the Board Room.
The group was welcomed by Dr. Curtis Null, Superintendent of Schools, and was presented information on public school finance by Executive Director of Finance Karen Garza and on procurement by Director of Procurement Rick Reeves.
The next meeting in March will focus mainly on growth, transportation, and attendance boundaries. Community Collaborative will then meet once more in April and twice in May.
Future topics will include specialty programs, Career & Technical Education, recruitment, professional learning, curriculum, planning and construction, summer school, and school safety. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a variety of other District meetings and events.
Community Collaborative is an opportunity for members of the community to get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the largest school districts in the State of Texas. This program is designed to enhance participants’ knowledge of programs and processes implemented in Conroe ISD.
