Principal of Vogel Intermediate Named at Board Meeting
At their meeting Tuesday night, the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees approved Christa Haymark as the new principal of Vogel Intermediate.
In addressing the Board, Mrs. Haymark stated, “I am excited and honored for the opportunity to be the principal of Vogel Intermediate School. My husband and I moved our family to Conroe ISD because we were searching for the best educational experience for our children. What we found in this great community is so much more. It is humbling to work in a district that has such strong leadership focused on growing teachers for the betterment of all students. When I started at Vogel 11 years ago, I knew I had found my home. Coming back to serve the staff, students, and Oak Ridge community is a dream come true!”
In 2008, Mrs. Haymark began serving in Conroe ISD at Vogel Intermediate as a 5th grade science and social studies teacher. She assumed her current role as Assistant Principal at Runyan Elementary in 2016 and served as a summer school principal in June of 2018.
Mrs. Haymark is filling the position held by Dr. Tara Vandermark who will be opening the new Suchma Elementary in August of 2019.
Family, friends, mentors, and colleagues joined her at the meeting to show their support.
