Nearly 1,400 Attend Annual Conroe ISD Job Fair

Nearly 1,400 candidates attended the 2017 Conroe ISD Job Fair that took place this past Saturday, April 8, 2017 at The Woodlands College Park High School. The annual job fair was open to individuals who are fully certified, have completed the Conroe ISD application, are Alternative Certification Program candidates who have taken and passed the TEXES content area test(s), current student teachers, and have registered for the Conroe ISD Professional Job Fair.

“Candidates attended from across Texas and the United States. Our principals returned to their campuses with stacks of resumes from highly qualified applicants and will begin filling positions for the 2017-2018 school year,” stated Dr. Kathy Sharples, Director of Human Resources.

The nearly 1,400 candidates attending the fair interacted with representatives from all 60 Conroe ISD campuses and several departments. In some cases, qualified candidates were interviewed on the spot. The District plans on hiring approximately 500 professional staff for the 2017-18 school year.
