Caney Creek High School Library Receives $1,000 Grant

CONROE, TEXAS (January 18, 2024) – The Caney Creek High School Library received a $1,000 grant from the Montgomery County Community Foundation and Twillia Liles of the Montgomery County Adult Literacy Fund for the purchase of non-fiction books.

Books in subjects such as career and technical education (CTE), economics, and computer science will be selected by the Caney Creek librarians in accordance with the CISD collection development policy and in alignment with the needs of the teachers and students. Literature in these subjects in particular have been identified as critical to providing the most current and engaging materials for the Caney Creek family.

Highlighting an already-standing District policy, parents of current CCHS students may set up their own patron accounts and check out books. Due to safety measures, parents will not be allowed to browse the library shelves, but can reserve materials through the online library catalog, which will then be sent home with their students.
