All six Conroe ISD high school marching bands will take the field this Saturday at the UIL Area Marching Contest at Woodforest Bank Stadium, continuing an outstanding season for band programs across the district.
The six bands advanced to the Area contest after each earned a Superior rating at the UIL Regional Marching Band Contest on October 17. Now, they will compete for a chance to move on to the UIL State Marching Contest.
Conroe ISD performance times are:
Grand Oaks High School: 10:45 a.m.
The Woodlands High School: 1:00 p.m.
Conroe High School: 1:45 p.m.
Oak Ridge High School: 3:30 p.m.
Caney Creek High School: 3:45 p.m.
College Park High School: 4:00 p.m.
Following preliminary performances, the 12 bands advancing to the finals are expected to be announced around 4:45 p.m. Finals will begin at 7 p.m., with the top six bands earning a trip to the State Marching Contest.
This accomplishment reflects countless hours of preparation by our students, band directors, staff, and volunteers. Marching band season requires tremendous commitment, teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail, and we are proud to see all six Conroe ISD programs represented at the Area level.
We invite our community to come out to Woodforest Bank Stadium and support our students as they compete Saturday.
