Substitute Hiring Requirements
Due to the length of time from processing to hire and the need to focus on current applicants in process, substitute applications for the '25-26 school are now closed.
Below are the substitute categories, including minimum requirements, pay rates, and detailed information for each. Applications will reopen on June 1st for the 2026-2027 school year.
How to Submit Your Online Application
Substitute applications are closed for the 2025-2026 year.
The substitute pool is not utilized in the summer months for summer school.
Please read Steps 1-4 below to have your questions answered before applying.

Substitute Application Process
Please note: If you are a current or recently separated Conroe ISD employee, you must wait until the month following the issuance of your last paycheck before the District can re-hire you. TRS Retirees may have to wait an additional 30 days.
