Conroe Independent School District is aware of online conversations regarding potential student protests. The district respects and values the constitutional right to free expression; however, its primary responsibility during the school day is to maintain a safe, orderly, and uninterrupted instructional environment.

Students are expected to remain on campus and follow the Conroe ISD Student Code of Conduct and campus procedures at all times. Walkouts, demonstrations, or other actions that interrupt instruction or disrupt school operations during the instructional day are not permitted. Students may not leave campus without parent/guardian permission and proper checkout through the school’s front office.

Students who participate in or organize actions that violate the Student Code of Conduct may face disciplinary consequences, depending on the behavior and circumstances. Our goal is not to be punitive, but to keep students safe, maintain a calm and secure learning environment, and ensure every student has access to uninterrupted instruction.

As a precaution, the district will have an increased law enforcement presence at campuses where walkouts have been discussed and is coordinating closely with local law enforcement partners.

At this time, Conroe ISD and the Conroe ISD Police Department have not received any credible or substantiated information regarding specific threats connected to possible protests. Any report of a potential threat or weapon is taken seriously and investigated immediately, and there are currently no verified or actionable reports of weapons or threats at any Conroe ISD campus.

We appreciate the partnership of families and the community in encouraging students to make safe, responsible choices and in relying on official district communication channels for accurate information.
