The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees has approved an application and interview process to fill the current vacancy for Board Position 1.
The board announced the process at the December 16th board meeting, as part of the Board’s commitment to transparency and community involvement. The Board also acted with fiscal responsibility by avoiding the cost of a special election. Interested and eligible community members are invited to apply for consideration.
Applications are now officially open and must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. Following the application window, trustees will review submissions and identify finalists to participate in interviews conducted during a special board meeting.
The Board may take action to appoint a trustee following the interviews. If a candidate is selected, the new trustee is expected to be sworn in at the Board’s January meeting.
