SEPAC

Special Education Parent Advisory Council 

The Conroe ISD Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a parent-led group that works collaboratively with families, educators and District leaders to improve the educational experience of students receiving special education services.

SEPAC provides families with a voice, strengthens communication between families and schools, and connects parents and caregivers with information and resources to help their children succeed.

What SEPAC Does

Advocates for Families
Provides opportunities for parents and caregivers to share their experiences, perspectives, and feedback about special education programs and services.

Builds Stronger Connections
Encourages collaboration and communication among families, educators, administrators, and the community.

Supports and Educates Families
Connects families with resources, educational opportunities and information to help them better understand and navigate special education.

Promotes Collaboration
Works alongside Conroe ISD leadership to identify opportunities, share feedback and support positive outcomes for students.

Get Involved

Parents and legal guardians of Conroe ISD students receiving special education services are encouraged to participate in SEPAC.

Families can get involved by attending meetings, sharing feedback, volunteering, participating in educational opportunities or simply staying informed.

Resources for Families

Parents and caregivers play an important role in their child's educational experience. SEPAC provides resources to help families better understand special education, the Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) process, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), parent rights and ways to effectively advocate for their child.
