This evening, we proudly honored two incredible educators who make a lasting impact on our campus each and every day.
Congratulations to Ms. Rangel, our Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Galicia, our Humanitarian of the Year! These amazing ladies go above and beyond for our students, families, and staff, leading with heart, dedication, and a true passion for making a difference.
We are so grateful to have them as part of our school family; they are absolutely amazing!

Our Pre-K students made Friday extra special by showing Mrs. Waller so much love and appreciation! 💙 From sweet smiles to heartfelt gestures, it was a beautiful reminder of the joy our youngest learners bring each day. Thank you, Pre-K, for making our campus shine a little brighter!

Ms. Rangel’s class took math to a whole new level… in the dark! ✨
With black lights glowing and excitement shining, students explored math concepts in a fun, hands-on way that kept everyone engaged from start to finish. When learning feels this bright, success is sure to follow

Who says learning can’t be electric? Our Astros turned off the lights and turned UP the fun with black lights as they practiced math skills in a whole new way! From glowing numbers to hands-on problem solving, engagement was shining bright in every corner of the room.
Making learning memorable, meaningful, and a little magical.

Ms. Dodson's third graders enjoyed learning with the Junior Achievement Group today.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Here are some ideas to show your teacher how much she or he is appreciated or be creative to show your teacher you appreciate them.

We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year.

Math STAAR Pep Rally!

Our 3rd and 4th grade cheerleaders did an amazing job today pumping up our Astros throughout the STAAR Pep Rally!

Thank you to all our Astros parents and families for joining us today to motivate and support our 3rd and 4th grades as they prepare to take the STAAR math tomorrow!

Reminder:
Monday is our Math 3rd and 4th Math Pep Rally. Let's celebrate and motivate together.

We were excited to spend Saturday morning with our Astros as they celebrate their experiences and showed their confidence in problem solving skills. They are ready for Tuesday's STAAR Math.

All K-8th grade students in the Conroe Feeder Zone are invited to Future Tigers Night with the Conroe High baseball team Friday, April 24 at 6:40 p.m. Join the Tigers on the field for the National Anthem, receive free admission with your team baseball jersey and a free treat!

Rice Elementary is hosting a free STREAM event for Pre-K to 6th grade students Saturday, April 25, from 11 am to 2 pm. Join us for a fun afternoon of exploring the fascinating world of science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math!

Yesterday was Jackie Robinson Day. Second grade learned that Jackie Robinson's number was retired and could never be worn again. They also learned that Jackie Robinson Day was declared in the year 2004 and to honor Jackie Robinson and the changes he made for professional sports, and on April 15th every year all teams could wear Jackie Robinson's number 42 on their jerseys. If you look at any of the highlights from yesterday's baseball game...you will see all players wearing number 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson. Mrs. Looper brought the lesson to life in her Jacki Robinson's attire!

We would like to thank all of our parents for attending today to motivate our 3rd and 4th graders, along with all of our students and staff participating in the parade and Reading STAAR Pep Rally!

PK, KG and Lifeskills brought the excitement to the parade in the annex with their signs and hand made maracas.

Amazing Astros!

Our Astros celebrated our third and fourth graders today with a motivational parade!

Congratulations to our Saturday Reading Camp bike winners!
