The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. David Vinson as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Schools during a special called board meeting on August 27. The announcement comes after a comprehensive three-month search that attracted interest from exceptional leaders across Texas and the nation. Trustees emphasized their unity and confidence in selecting Dr. Vinson, noting that his experience, vision, and proven leadership align with the values and aspirations of the Conroe ISD community.

Big news! Every Conroe ISD high school showed growth in AP exam participation, average scores, and the percentage of exams scoring 3 or higher in 2025.
In May, 5,832 students took a total of 12,172 AP exams, representing 26% of enrolled high school students who challenged themselves with a rigorous three-hour college-level test. More than 9,000 exams received a score of 3 or higher, resulting in a 76% pass rate and an average score of 3.4. This is a 5% increase from 2024.
We are so proud of our students and teachers for this outstanding achievement!
