Conroe ISD and Texans for Excellence in Education will be hosting 5 Community Forums to gain feedback regarding the Superintendent Search. While the events are organized in several feeder zones, please feel free to attend the forum that is most convenient for you.


This week, Interim Superintendent Dr. Ted Landry wrapped up his series of town hall meetings by visiting with staff from the Oak Ridge, The Woodlands, and Caney Creek feeder zones. These informal, come-and-go events provided a chance for open conversation, as Dr. Landry listened to questions, gathered input, and shared his vision for the future.
He was honored to meet with staff across the district and values the time spent connecting with the people who make Conroe ISD so strong.

Rob Eissler and his family, Interim Superintendent Dr. Ted Landry, Principal Lizzie Thompson, and Assistant Principal Stephanie Giuseppetti, toured W. Robert Eissler Elementary Monday. The K-6 campus located on Old Conroe Road is scheduled to open in August and will serve The Woodlands High School feeder zone.







Conroe ISD is proud to announce Dr. Jenny Lucas as the new principal for the Virtual School!


This summer, Conroe ISD will host college workshops and college fairs for rising seniors (Class of 2026). On June 25th, the Houston-Area Recruiters Network will host a college fair at Grand Oaks High School. Thirty-six colleges and universities will be on hand to meet prospective students and answer questions about before college applications open in late summer. In July, students can attend workshops to learn more about how admissions work, insider essay tips, and scholarship searches. On August 2nd, the Private College Collective will sponsor their own workshop at College Park High School. This workshop will be a deep-dive into highly selective admissions.

In observance of Juneteenth, all Conroe ISD offices and campuses will be closed on Thursday, June 19th.


Conroe ISD is happy to announce Sarah Howard as the new principal at Bush Elementary! Howard was the assistant principal at Bush this past year and has been in the District for 16 years.


Last night, the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees approved the names for six campuses currently under construction:
Kacy Arnold Elementary (Grand Oaks Feeder)
Janene Fowler Intermediate (Conroe & Timber Mill Feeders)
Lynn Cartwright Junior High (Conroe & Timber Mill Feeders)
Grand Oaks Junior High School
Grand Oaks High School Ninth Grade Campus
Caney Creek High School Ninth Grade Campus
The Grand Oaks Junior High and Ninth Grade campuses will share one facility but operate as two separate schools.






This week, staff from the College Park, Grand Oaks, and Conroe feeder zones had the opportunity to attend town halls with Interim Superintendent Dr. Ted Landry, where they could ask questions and share their perspectives.
At Conroe High, where he once served as a guidance counselor, Dr. Landry reconnected with former student MaryAnn Turrubiartes, now the district’s elementary counseling specialist.

Conroe ISD is excited to announce Chelsea Harness as the new principal at Collins Intermediate! Harness has been the assistant principal at Collins for the past two years.


Conroe ISD is proud to announce Miguel De La Torre as the new principal at Houston Elementary! De La Torre was previously an assistant principal at Creighton Elementary.

This summer, five of our Conroe ISD Photography Interns traded sidelines for the Rockies, spending a few days in Estes Park, Colorado, capturing wildlife, landscapes, and mountain views. Normally focused on CISD sports and events, these students got a chance to grow their skills in a totally new setting.
CISD Photography Interns are chosen from all six high schools and work alongside our Communications, CTE, and Athletics departments year-round. Next week, 14 new interns will receive their cameras and start their journey in one of the most unique student photography programs in Texas.
