As a first-year Agriculture teacher, Mrs. Rudy has already made a lasting impact! From creating fun, meaningful projects to preparing students for their LDE competitions, she goes above and beyond to help her students succeed. Her professionalism, initiative, and dedication to supporting students, families, and colleagues truly set her apart.

Congratulations to Gagan Potturi, our TWHS CTE Student of the Month!

As TWHS Robotics Co-Captain, Gagan goes above and beyond to serve his team, school, and community. From leading STEM programs for Life Skills students to managing the mechanical and CAD teams, his leadership and dedication truly stand out. He is also the only student certified on every machine in the robotics machine shop and qualified to train others!

We are proud to recognize Gagan for his hard work, leadership, and commitment to making a difference!

Congratulations to Pranav Ramprasad and Nathan Feng on being recognized during Energy Day 2026 at Sam Houston Park! Sponsored by Chevron, Repsol, and the University of Houston, the event celebrated outstanding student innovation and achievement. Pranav and Nathan were honored on stage for the exceptional science fair project they developed last year in the Science & Engineering category. Their hard work, creativity, and dedication earned them special recognition, as well as a $400 cash award. We are incredibly proud of these students for representing our school and showcasing the power of curiosity, innovation, and scientific discovery. TWHS-9’s Tough Mentor Leaders made their first trip of the year to Coulson Tough Elementary to meet their mentees! Students learned what it means to be both a mentor and a mentee, then spent time getting to know one another through a fun game of “This or That.”

We’re excited to see these relationships grow and look forward to continuing our wonderful partnership with Coulson Tough Elementary through this meaningful program!

Our comics club can’t stop buzzing about this week’s special guest, editor Lauren Hitzhusen. Speaking from over a decade of professional comics editing experience, Lauren shared what it takes to get started in the comics industry, what careers are available, and even reviewed student portfolios. We’re really grateful for her time and expertise!
