4th Grade Families: War Eagle Challenge is today at Oak Ridge High School. Parents who have signed up to volunteer or plan to spectate must first stop by Suchma Elementary to check in at the front office and receive a badge before heading to the event. We are looking forward to a fun and competitive day with our Eagles, let’s bring home the gold!
Suchma Families: Autographed books by our visiting author Troy Cummings are now on sale for 3rd-6th Grade students in School Cash Online for $10. Books will be distributed the day of the Author visit (3/31) and are limited in quantity. Once we sell out, we will not be able to order any more. Order today before they sell out!!
We invite all families to attend our 5th/6th Grade Choir Pop Show, A Night At The Movies, this evening, March 18th at 6PM in the Suchma Cafeteria. They will be performing songs featured in different movies. It's a fantastic show, and you don't want to miss it!
We invite our 4th grade families to learn about band and orchestra instruments and opportunities on Thursday, March 19th from 5:30PM-7PM in the Suchma Cafeteria.
Suchma Families: We have an amazing opportunity to have author and illustrator Troy Cummings come visit our 3rd-6th grade students on March 31st! We can't wait for this exciting and special opportunity! We will have a limited number of autographed copies of his new book "Can I Be Your Dog?" available for pre-order starting Wednesday March 18th for $10. The only way to pre-order is through your child's school cash online account.
Suchma Families:
We hope all our Eagles have a safe and fun Spring Break next week! We will not have school next week March 9-13 and we will resume on Monday March 16th.
Students can still pay for roller skating in PE through next Friday, March 13th on your student's School Cash account. Any student who has not paid at that time will not be able to participate during the roller skating unit March 30th- April 10th. An alternative activity will be provided.
With the break and more opportunities for our Eagles to have screen time, this coming week is a great opportunity to discuss cyber safety with your child. This includes safety on messaging and social media platforms as well as in-game chats.

*Go Texan Day - Friday, February 27th Students and staff are encouraged to wear western/rodeo attire.
*Bike Rodeo - Saturday, February 28th 9AM-9:40AM Kinder/First, 9:45AM-10:25AM 2nd /3rd, 10:30AM-11:10AM 4th-6th (Families with multiple students, if possible, please attend the time slot for the youngest student.)
*Our car rider line begins at 7:30AM. Please adhere to this time, as we do not have staff monitoring the front porch area prior to 7:30AM, and our priority is to keep students safe. Please do not drop off students and leave them unattended prior to 7:30AM.

We invite our 4th Grade families to enjoy our 4th Grade Folk Dance Night this evening, February 26th , at 6PM in the Suchma cafeteria. Our students have been working hard learning new skills, and they are eager to show you, and teach you some of the dances. See you this evening!
