Welcome to Knox Junior High Athletics
Welcome to Knox Junior High Athletics! We are excited that you are joining the Knox Knights family. Our athletic program is committed to developing student-athletes of character through discipline, teamwork, accountability, and hard work. We believe athletics is an extension of the classroom, providing opportunities for students to grow as leaders while representing Knox with pride.
Enrollment in athletics is a year-long commitment. Student athletes are expected to participate in the program for the entire school year and uphold the high standards of Knox Athletics both on and off the field.
Please note the following:
Student athletes must have transportation to and from practices and transportation home following all contests.
Before participating in Knox Athletics, parents/guardians must complete all required Rank One online forms and submit a valid 2026–2027 Pre-Participation Physical Form. These requirements must be completed and approved prior to a student-athlete's first practice or athletic event.
Students who try out for a sport and are not selected will remain enrolled in athletics, where they will continue developing strength, athletic skills, and character while preparing for future opportunities.
Following the conclusion of each sport season, athletes participate in a structured off-season program emphasizing strength training, speed development, agility, conditioning, and mobility. This comprehensive approach helps prepare student athletes for success in their next season while promoting lifelong fitness and healthy habits.
If you have questions regarding a specific sport, please feel free to contact the appropriate coach by email. Our coaching staff is happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
Please read the athletic information prior to participation and talk with a coach if you have any questions. Students who try out for a sport but are not selected will remain in the course to build physical skills for a subsequent year tryout. (Credit: 1)

Game Day Expectations for Fans
Thank you for supporting Knox Athletics! Our coaches, student athletes, officials, and spectators all contribute to creating a positive game-day environment. We ask everyone to help us model sportsmanship, respect, and school pride by following these expectations:
Follow all Conroe ISD and Knox Junior High policies, including the student dress code, while attending athletic events.
Cheer enthusiastically and positively for all student-athletes while demonstrating good sportsmanship at all times.
Treat players, coaches, officials, game workers, and spectators from both schools with courtesy and respect.
Respect the decisions of game officials. Officials are an important part of every contest, and unsportsmanlike conduct directed toward officials will not be tolerated.
Profanity, abusive language, taunting, threatening behavior, or demeaning comments directed toward players, coaches, officials, or spectators are unacceptable and may result in removal from the event by school administration or security personnel.
Remember that our student-athletes are 12–14-year-old young men and women. The words and actions of adults and fellow spectators have a lasting impact on their experience.
Remain in designated spectator areas and help maintain a safe environment by supervising younger children throughout the event.
Celebrate with class—win or lose. We encourage respectful interactions before, during, and after every contest.
Help us create a family-friendly atmosphere where everyone—home and visiting fans alike—feels safe, respected, and welcome.
Together, we can ensure that Knox athletic events reflect the character, pride, and tradition of our school community.
