At the Region 2 UIL Academic meet, Camila Blancas placed fifth in poetry. Breshad Robinson was an LD debate quarterfinalist and placed fifth in editorial writing. Both are alternates to the state meet. Ava Aldridge, though, clinched her ticket to state after being the second REGIONAL CHAMPION in LD debate for Caney Creek in the last three years. Ava will go to state as a sophomore as one of the top 12 in 6A.

FFA had A LOT OF SUCCESS at the Blacklands District Convention advancing to area with every event competed in. Phoebe Thacker - 1st place Jr. prepared speaking Hayley Hoffman - 2nd place Soil stewardship Luis Barcenas - 2nd place talent contest Pj Rutherford retired her position as District Reporter and lastly Caney Creek FFA is represented by Delaney Miller as the Blacklands District FFA PRESIDENT! We are so proud of all of our students and can’t wait to watch them compete in May.
