SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE CONROE ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES
REGARDING THE PETITION TO DETACH

ANNEX THE MONTGOMERY TRACE SECTION 4 AREA TO MONTGOMERY ISD

The Board will hold a public hearing to consider the Petition filed by Wisdom Aydelette to detach the Montgomery Trace Section 4 area from Conroe ISD and annex the Montgomery Trace Section 4 area to Montgomery ISD. Following the hearing, the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees may adopt findings of fact and a resolution regarding the petition for detachment and annexation. This notice is provided in accordance with the requirements of Texas Education Code §§ 13.003 and 13.051.
The territory to be detached and annexed is generally described as Montgomery Trace Section 4. A complete metes and bounds description is on file with the District and available for public inspection at the Conroe ISD Administration Office, 3205 W. Davis St., Conroe, TX 77304 during regular business hours, and online at: https://www.youtube.com/@ConroeISD.
This hearing will provide an opportunity for members of the public to appear and present comments regarding the proposed boundary change. Individuals wishing to address the Board regarding this Petition must complete a Citizens Participation Enrollment Form. Forms are available from the Board Secretary on the day of the meeting between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Forms may also be completed and submitted online by 2:00 p.m. on March 2, 2026 and are available at https://www.conroeisd.net/page/board-meeting-information.
The Conroe ISD Board shall consider and hear testimony regarding the educational interests of the current students residing or future students expected to reside in the affected territory and in the affected districts and the social, economic, and educational effects of the proposed boundary change. The Conroe ISD Board shall also consider the legal sufficiency of the petition and whether it meets the minimum statutory requirements.
If during the course of the meeting covered by this notice the board should determine that a closed or executive meeting or session of the board should be held or is required, then such closed or executive meeting or session as authorized by Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code (the Open Meetings Act) will be held by the board at the date, hour, and place given in this notice or as soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this notice as the board may conveniently meet in such closed or executive session concerning any and all subjects and for any and all purposes permitted by Section 551.071 through Section 551.089 inclusive of said Open Meetings Act. Should any final action, final decision, or final vote be required in the opinion of the board with regard to any matter considered in such closed or executive session, then such final action, final decision, or final vote shall be at either:
a) the open meeting covered by this notice upon the reconvening of this public meeting, or
b) a subsequent public meeting of the board upon notice thereof, as the board shall determine.
All final votes, actions, or decisions will be taken in an open meeting.![]()
