COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 75th annual Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) featured several students from Conroe ISD presenting projects across differing sub-categories.

One of these students was 2025 graduate Aarushi Pandey from the Academy of Science and Technology at The Woodlands College Park High School. Pandey claimed first place in the plant sciences category for her experiment exploring how Allium growth in tropisms and microgravity are used to better understand how plants integrate directional growth cues under altered abiotic conditions.

Part of the winning prize for Pandey includes an all-expense paid trip to Sweden for a week and a half where she will compete in a specialized science fair. Following her triumphant and exhilarating summer Pandey will be heading to Johns Hopkins in the fall.

Other notable finishes from Conroe ISD students participating in ISEF include:

• Vibhan Emmie (11) and Adam Siddiqi (11) – Plant Sciences – 4th Place

• Prachi Natoo (11) – Chemistry – 3rd Place

• Iris Shen (11) – Animal Science – 4th Place
