Melissa Semmler was elected to the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees in November 2024. Teaching has been her lifelong passion. While pursuing a Master’s Degree in English Literature, she began her teaching career and has since devoted the past two decades to the field of education. Throughout Semmler’s professional journey, she has taught in various settings including Texas public schools, private schools, and community colleges. Additionally, her experience in community college administration has equipped her with valuable experience collaborating efficiently with fellow educators and administrators.

Semmler’s journey as a mother has significantly influenced her outlook on education. Like many local families, her family’s decision to relocate to Conroe ISD was largely based on the quality of schools in the area. With one child in junior high and another in elementary school, Semmler is fully invested in promoting evidence-based approaches to education throughout Conroe ISD.
