ESSER III

Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) funds are being provided under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2, enacted on March 11, 2021. These funds are intended to respond to the pandemic and address student learning loss as a result of COVID-19.

Funds are supplemental to all other funding sources to school systems and will not be supplanted at the State level. They will be available thru September 30, 2024.

Allocation Amounts

TEA has released two-thirds of the total allocation to Texas School Districts. The remaining one-third will be made available upon the USDE’s approval of the states spending plan.

  • CISD Total Allocation: $64,705,802
