The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees gave special recognition to outstanding employees in the District support departments at their July Meeting.

The Trustees present Ambassador Awards to individuals for their positive contributions to the District. Various departments work hard to help support our schools and the Board honored five of CISD’s outstanding employees who exemplify excellence and provide exceptional service to the District. Each of these employees is an ambassador for the District by performing their daily tasks with an unwavering commitment to the children, parents, and employees of Conroe ISD.

The ambassador for the Athletics Department is Sondra Richardson. Sondra has been a CISD Athletic Administrative Assistant for five years. With duties ranging from paying officials to supervising stadium workers at Moorhead Stadium, Sondra handles each task with her infectious positive personality, always a smile on her face, and goes above and beyond in all her endeavors.

Sandra Vaughn was selected as the Curriculum and Instruction Department ambassador and has worked for CISD for eight years. Sandra has been a mentor to new administrative assistants, works collaboratively with staff from all departments, and provides guidance to others to help all of CISD. She is always ready to step up and take on any new task.

Patricia Morais represented the Finance Department and has been an asset in various positions during her 10 years with the district. Patricia currently works as an Accounts Payable Clerk and always does her job with a positive attitude and a smile on her face.

Sandy Facemire was selected as the ambassador for the Human Resources Department. Sandy joined the team when the department was going paperless with employee records and was instrumental in that transition. She comes to work with a smile on her face every day and exemplifies the work ethic and positive attitude of an outstanding Conroe ISD employee.

Doug Holland is the ambassador for the Technology Department and has been with Conroe ISD since 2002. During that time, he has held a variety of positions within the Technology Department.  In 2014, Doug accepted a position as a full-time Media and Security Supervisor and is currently handling all day-to-day activity with security systems, cameras and media within the district.

Dr. Chris Hines, Deputy Superintendent of Operations, presented the recipients to the Board.

After presenting each with their award, Trustee Scott Kidd remarked, “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, individually and collectively, we want to tell each and every one of you just how proud we are of everything that you do to make this district great.”
