By utilizing the facilities of the schools and community, the school health program can assist each student in attaining an optimal level of physical and emotional health. Although the parents and guardians are ultimately responsible for the health care of their children, Health Services welcomes the opportunity to assist and support the families of Conroe I.S.D., both professionally and educationally, in order to reach the mutual goal of a successful school experience.

Head Lice Information

Head lice continues to be an ongoing nuisance. Conroe ISD follows the requirements of TEC 38.031, and the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), as well as those contained in the position papers of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) in the treatment for head lice.

The goal of the District is to support families in their efforts to control and eliminate head lice while maintaining student privacy.
