In February, Conroe ISD hosted nearly 70 student teachers for the spring semester’s Student Teacher Reception. The student teachers, many of whom were already fully entrenched in their campus assignments, were welcomed at the event by Conroe ISD Superintendent Dr. Stockton and other District administrators prior to learning about becoming a teacher in Conroe ISD.

“The journey our student teachers are beginning is an exciting one, and we welcome them to our district!” shared Conroe ISD Recruiting Specialist Christine Corson. “We hope that the practical advice on resumes and interview tips shared at the student teacher reception is beneficial and helps increase their chances of success as they participate in our upcoming Job Fair. We appreciate all that our student teachers and their mentors do throughout the semester to make a difference in the lives of our students.”

The District was also excited to welcome over 75 student teachers at the Student Teacher Reception in the fall. Anyone interested in becoming a certified teacher or completing part of their teacher preparation program in Conroe ISD, should visit https://www.conroeisd.net/hr/certification/.

Next up for Conroe ISD is the Professional Job Fair that will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at The Woodlands College Park High School. This event is attended by over 1,000 applicants annually.
