Conroe ISD Trustees Approve 22-23 School Calendar
At their meeting Tuesday night, the Board of Trustees adopted the 2022-2023 School Calendar as recommended by the CISD District-Level Planning and Decision-Making Committee (DLPDMC).
Three 2022-2023 draft calendars were posted on the CISD website and provided to campuses to share with their staff and community. Of the available options, the approved 2022-2023 calendar most closely mirrors the current calendar. It reflects 175 days of instruction, a minimum of 75,600 instructional minutes for students, and 187 working days for teachers.

During the fall semester, two surveys were presented to employees, families, and the community to obtain feedback on the drafts. They received a total of 15,156 combined responses. The DLPDMC reviewed the results along with suggestions received from staff, parents, and the community and recommended Calendar Draft 1.
In her presentation to the Board of Trustees, Dr. Hedith Upshaw, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, noted the features of the calendar. The calendar approved by the Board includes an additional staff development day on March 20. If needed, this day could be used as a make-up day for students.
