The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees gave special recognition to outstanding managers and employees in the Child Nutrition Department at their April meeting.

Conroe ISD awards Ambassador Awards to recognize individuals for their positive contributions to campus life and campus climate. The Board of Trustees was proud to honor five employees from The Child Nutrition Department for their extraordinary contribution to the District. Teresa Compton, Kathryn Matamoros, Enedelia “Ann” Maldonado, Dolores Beasley, and Connie Gray were recognized for their commitment to Conroe ISD. Their outstanding work ethic contributes to the department and campuses and makes them valuable employees.

The Director of Child Nutrition, Robyn Hughes, introduced these employees to the Board.

After presenting each recipient with their award, Trustee Scott Moore stated, “On behalf of the Board and the administration, we want to let you know how proud and how honored we are to work with you. We are very dedicated to educating children, but that goes beyond the classroom. We know the children who are not healthy and who are not fed cannot concentrate and cannot learn in the classroom, and that begins with you. We are all about the holistic child, not just the education, but seeing that they’re cared for, that they’re loved, and that they grow into the best people that they can possibly be, and without you, that would not be possible. On behalf of the Board, I just want to say how grateful we are for the job that you do for the children and employees of CISD.”
