CISD Board Recognizes Cross Country State Champions

The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees gave special recognition to the 2017 UIL 6A Boys’ Cross Country State Champions from The Woodlands High School at their meeting Tuesday night.

The Woodlands High School Cross Country Team had a great season which culminated in winning the school’s 20th state championship. The team claimed their third consecutive Class 6A State Championship in Round Rock, TX, on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

The Woodlands High School Principal Gregg Colschen introduced Coach Juris Green who presented Assistant Coach Chris Bails and the team to the Board. Team members include: Gavin Hoffpauir, Daniel Baker, Ethan Hammer, Ryan Raiford, Ethan Mercado, Michael Childree, and Matthew Jones.

Trustee Skeeter Hubert presented in the team with a plaque in honor of their accomplishment.
