Broadway Elementary
At Broadway, the following children received a Principal’s High Five award: Avalon Kambrick, Joseph DelValle, Paisley Frederickson, Hayden Samford, Noah Wallace, Jose Flores-Garza Lemon, Mathew Holt, Williams Wainwright, Carson Hand, Madelyn Crawley KG, Ryan Schulz KG, Gabriel Nunez, Andrew Zabriskie, Everett Williby, Olivia Holman, Cannon Scott, Olivia Speringo, Austin McShane, Aliya Nisar, Madison Daniels, Carly Cox, John Jack Lobato, Jude Swensen, Zak Fedak, Blake Barrera, Katy McClain and Bailey Carney.

 

Buckalew Elementary
The Keys For Success “Principal Medallion” winners for the month of October 24 are: Cameron Basconi for putting first things first and being such a hard worker, Tina Wu for thinking win-win, Samantha Bartholomew for being kind to others, John Wu for being proactive when he created a game for the class to play to reinforce learning on his own, and Landon Retberg for putting first things first. Congratulations to all!

The annual Food Drive will take place at our school from November 7 to 11. Everyone please bring nonperishable food for the food collection.

Mark your calendars for the Third Grade Program on November 10 at 6:30 p.m.

The Turkey Trot is scheduled for Friday, November 11 during the school day.

 
Bush Elementary
November 7-11 is our Fall Book Fair. The book fair will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day, except on Thursday, when it will be open for third grade Open House and Friday, when it will only be open in the morning.

On November 10, third grade will have a program and open house. The book fair will be open during this evening.

On November 10, the Parent Teacher Organization Board will hold a meeting. All members are invited to attend.

On November 12, our Parent Teacher Organization will hold a share night at Maximum Athletics.

 

Collins Intermediate
Great job to all of the faculty who participated in the Lip Sync Battle for the students. You all were amazing and the students loved it as always.

November 10, Class Pictures will take place.

November 10, sixth grade CISD Honor Orchestra Auditions. Good Luck to all of our sixth graders, we know you will be fabulous.

 

Creighton Elementary
Friday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. we will host a Veteran’s Luncheon in the library. We will honor those who have previously served and those who are currently in the military.

As a reminder, to volunteer at the school or school sponsored activities you must fill out the Volunteer Application on the Conroe Independent School District website. This needs to be done each year. Go to www.conroeisd.net and click on the Students/Parents tab at the top. You will see Volunteer in CISD in the middle column. You will receive an email stating that it was approved. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe.

 

David Elementary
David Elementary will have a PTO Meeting on Tuesday, November 8 at 1:30 p.m. Parents and community members are welcome to attend.

David Elementary will celebrate Veteran’s Day with on Thursday, November 10. The third grade students will honor veterans by performing a special program at 2 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m.

 

Ford Elementary
We love our veterans and honor these men and women who have sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy in America. Ford students are encouraged to invite their honored Veteran to eat lunch with them on Thursday, November 10, during their scheduled lunch times. Invitations went home recently. We ask that you R.S.V.P. by returning this form to Mrs. Lynn Bennett by Friday, November 4.

Ford’s Tough Run Fundraising is in full swing. Students are collecting donations to help raise funds to improve technology in our classrooms. This event will culminate in a “Tough Run” on Friday, November 18. Family and friends are welcome to come out and cheer on the students as they run the course. Ford Tough Run t-shirts are on sale in the front office for $10.00.

 

Giesinger Elementary
November 8 is “Kona Ice Day”. Students will be able to purchase a Kona Ice treat during recess for $3.00. This is a fundraiser for our school.

PTO is sponsoring “Thankful Chains” November 1 – 17. Students are invited to purchase a paper chain link for .50 each to write down something he or she is thankful for. The paper chain links will be connected to create a school Thankful Chain that will decorate our hallways.
Hailey Elementary
Attendance counts for every child every day. Congratulations to Mrs. Suire’s and Mrs. Steffy’s classes on achieving 10 Attendance Rockets for the whole class being on time and staying at school all day! Classes who won lunch and ice cream on the stage for good attendance the first nine weeks were Mrs. Nordenstam’s, Ms. Clary’s, Mrs. Bagley’s, Mrs. Butler’s and Mrs. Capan’s classes.

Fourth grade continues its military care package collection service project through November 11.

Tuesday, November 8 is Hailey Spirit Night at Baskin Robbins at 3-9 p.m. Enjoy an ice cream treat and support our school at the same time. This day is also Spirit Night at Chipotle’s in Market Street (our school earns 50% of the Hailey sales this night). Enjoy a vacation from the kitchen and support our school at the same time.

Friday, November 11, our school honors our veterans and active duty service members who work sacrificially to defend our nation’s freedoms.

Friday, November 11, class pictures and individual picture re-takes will be made.

Students can bring aluminum cans, foil, pans, and aluminum computer parts for recycling every Friday morning for our Cash for Cans program, which also helps support our school. Please deliver recyclables to the front porch when arriving at school.

 

Kaufman Elementary
Thursday, November 10, the Cougar Choir will perform a Veteran’s Day Program at 6 p.m. for family and friends and again on Friday, November 11 at 9 a.m. for students and faculty.

Friday, November 11, the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will have a General Meeting at 1:30 p.m.
Mitchell Intermediate
On Tuesday, November 6, LC 9 will take a field trip to Spring Creek Nature Centers sponsored by our Parent Teacher Organization.
The Parent Teacher Organization Fundraiser will have a Cookie Dough and other fundraiser items, one day pick up on Wednesday, November 9, from 2-7 p.m. in the Mitchell Commons.
The fifth grade students will take a Reading Benchmark on Thursday, November 10.
The Mitchell Intermediate Honor Orchestra tryouts will be held on Thursday, November 10 from 5-9 p.m. in Mitchell Intermediate Commons.
LC 7 will participate in a Colonial Days project in their LC on Friday, November 11.
The CISD Intermediate Honor Band auditions will be held on Saturday, November 12 at Vogel Intermediate.
Congratulations to our wonderful Fine Arts Department. Mr. Hicks and many of the band members performed at TWHS Quarterback Club’s “Challenger Camp” offered for children with special needs. Many former Mitchell Mustangs participated at the camp and enjoyed music by the Mitchell Band.
Mitchell Intermediate would like to thank all of the parent volunteers who assisted each day to make the Scholastic Book Fair a successful event.
Powell Elementary
Join us for Spirit Night at Kendra Scott November 10 at 6 p.m. Twenty percent of sales will be contributed to the Powell Parent Teacher Organization. Purchases may be made by phone if you mention our school when ordering.
Rice Elementary
Kona Ice will be at Rice on Wednesday, November 9.

Friday, November 11 Rice will host a Family Game Night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The week of Monday, November 14 Rice will recognize Generation Texas Week.

Tuesday, November 15 class pictures will be taken.

Junior Achievement will make presentations in our second grade classrooms on Wednesday, November 16.

Rice third and fourth graders will be going on field trips on Thursday, November 17.

Career day will be held on Friday, November 18.

Friday, November 18 our PreK students will have their annual Pow Wow.

Students will be off the week on November 21 for Thanksgiving.

Friday, December 2 Rice Way Pep Rallies will be held.

Rice fourth grade students will present their music program on Friday, December 9 at 9 am.

Saturday, December 10 will be our Rice CYCLE Reading Incentive delivery day.
Tough Elementary
Congratulations to the Coulson Tough participants in this year’s CISD Fall Fun Run.
