Assistant Superintendent and Principal Named at Board Meeting
At their May meeting, the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees named the new Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education and the next principal of Hauke High School.
Dr. John Williams, current assistant principal at the Conroe High School Ninth Grade Campus, was named the new principal of Hauke High School. In addressing the Board, Dr. Williams stated, “Thank you all for the opportunity to serve as principal of Hauke High School. I am truly humbled by the confidence that you’ve placed in me and I will endeavor to continue building on the progress and success that Mrs. Nicolini and others have started before me.”
Current Hauke Principal Paula Nicolini will be leaving at the end of the school year to fulfill her lifelong dream of living and working abroad in China.
The Trustees also approved current principal of The Woodlands High School Gregg Colschen to be the new Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education. Mr. Colschen will be assuming the role held by James Kacur when he transitions to the newly established position of Assistant Superintendent for Operations.
In his remarks to the Board, Mr. Colschen said, “Reaching this milestone in my career would have been impossible without the help of many people along the way. First, I want to thank Dr. Stockton for taking a chance on me 16 years ago and allowing me to serve as the principal of The Woodlands High School. Thanks to all of the administrators, counselors, teachers and staff that I have had the pleasure to work with over the past 16 years. Their dedication has been the key to our success as a school. I also want to thank my family, especially my wife Sandra. They have indulged my passion for my work all these years.”
