April 8 Update: Grading Guidelines, Meal Distribution, & Facebook Live
Conroe ISD Family,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share a few updates before we head into the long weekend.
As mentioned recently during a Facebook Live chat, District and campus administrators along with curriculum experts have been developing grading guidelines for the fourth nine-weeks. These guidelines provide that students will not be placed at a disadvantage as a result of the current situation and the fourth nine-week’s grade will not be lower than the third nine-week’s grade. To view the complete grading guidelines documents for elementary/intermediate and secondary, please visit our Policies, Handbooks, and Forms webpage.
We will continue distributing meals for students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM – 1 PM at Austin Elementary, Caney Creek High School, Conroe High School, Grand Oaks High School, Hauke High School, Knox Junior High, Oak Ridge High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, The Woodlands High School, and Washington Junior High. We are working to promote social distancing and will be placing meals in the trunks of vehicles if an interior trunk release is available.
Our next Facebook Live is scheduled for Monday, April 13, at 6 PM. If you missed previous Facebook Live chats, you can watch them on Facebook or the District’s YouTube Channel.
Finally, I want to leave you with this video of some of our choir students. This extended time apart is a challenge, and we look forward to the time we can be happy together again.
Stay safe,
Dr. Curtis Null
Superintendent of Schools
