York Junior High Principal Named at Board Meeting

At the meeting Tuesday night, the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees approved Brian Lee as the new principal of York Junior High.

In addressing the Board, Mr. Lee stated, “On behalf of myself and my family, we are honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve the Grand Oaks Community. We are excited to continue the outstanding work that was started by Dr. Povich and are committed to this work and look forward to the opportunity to work with the staff at York as well as with the other school staffs within the feeder.”

Mr. Lee began serving in Conroe ISD in 2009 as a social studies teacher and coach at Knox Junior High. In addition to his current position as an associate principal of administration at The Woodlands College Park High School, he has also served as a teacher, assessment coordinator, and assistant principal at Oak Ridge High School and summer school principal at various sites.

Mr. Lee is filling the position previously held by Dr. Chris Povich who will be opening the new Grand Oaks High School in August of 2018.
