Principals Named at Board Meeting

At their meeting on Tuesday, April 16, the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees named the principals of Bush Elementary and Oak Ridge High School.

Dr. Jarod Lambert was named principal of Bush Elementary. In addressing the Board, Dr. Lambert stated, “To my future colleagues at Bush Elementary, I am excited by the opportunity to continue my learning journey with you. As I contemplate assuming the principalship held by Judy Mills, I know living up to her legacy is no easy task. I look forward to working with the Bush Elementary community to build on the Bobcat tradition of excellence.”

In 2010, Dr. Lambert began serving in Conroe ISD as the Instructional Technology Specialist in the Curriculum & Instruction Department. He also served as Assessment Specialist and Instructional Technology & Library Services Coordinator prior to assuming his current role as Assistant Principal at Hailey Elementary in 2017. Dr. Lambert is filling the position held by Mrs. Judy Mills who will be retiring at the end of the school year after serving 46 years in education, 26 of which were in Conroe ISD.

Man in suit smiling.Dr. A.J. LiVecchi, current principal of Oak Ridge High School 9th Grade Campus, was named principal of Oak Ridge High School. Current principal, Mr. Tommy Johnson, is retiring after serving 41 years in education in Conroe ISD. In addressing the Board, Dr. LiVecchi stated, “I want to thank Mr. Johnson and his staff for their belief in me for the last three years as I have served as the Principal of Oak Ridge Ninth Grade Campus. The Oak Ridge Family welcomed me as one of their own and nurtured me into being a better leader. I recognize and appreciate your faith in me and I am ready to help guide Oak Ridge in our continued pursuit to be the best high school in Texas.”

Prior to serving in his current position as Principal of Oak Ridge High School 9th Grade Campus, Dr. LiVecchi served as an assistant principal and teacher at TW College Park High School in Conroe ISD.
