Melanie Bush, Board President, was elected to the Board in November 2014. She is the founder and President of Better Bookkeepers, having grown her business from one to twelve employees in four short years. Her team has helped hundreds of clients manage their business finances.
Mrs. Bush worked her way through school and graduated from Southern Methodist University in four years with three degrees – economics, political science and public policy.
Mrs. Bush has actively served in several community organizations. She is a Past-President and Lead Mentor for the Executive Women’s Alliance, mentoring young ladies at Conroe High School. This program mentors over 50 high school ladies annually, and it has given $40,000 in college scholarships to 5 graduating classes. Mrs. Bush has also served as PTO Treasurer for Bush Elementary and on the Campus Planning Committee. Finally, Mrs. Bush serves on committees for organizations like the local chambers, Interfaith of The Woodlands, and many more.
Mrs. Bush and her husband, Alan, live in The Woodlands with their two sweet daughters, Rebekah and Audrey. Crossroads Baptist Church is the Bushes’ church home, where the entire family serves. Mrs. Bush currently works with the youth there and has previously worked in the preschool and kids ministries.
Mrs. Bush’s term expires in 2018.
