Scott Kidd, Assistant Secretary, is an attorney and a partner at Gauntt, Koen, Binney, Woodall, & Kidd L.L.P. in The Woodlands. He also worked as Arrow Child and Family Ministries General Counsel and Senior Vice President. While with the ministry, Mr. Kidd helped build church and community alliances for foster, adopted, and other children in need.
Mr. Kidd is a 1981 Conroe High School graduate. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and went on to Baylor School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Kidd has practiced law in Montgomery County and surrounding counties for over 25 years.
During his years in Montgomery County, Mr. Kidd has served in many capacities – Conroe Education Foundation, Board of Directors; Montgomery County Community Foundation, Board of Directors; South Montgomery County YMCA, Board of Directors; YMCA Partners of Youth Campaign, Chairman; Royal Family Kids Camp for abused children; First Baptist Church of the Woodlands Upward Basketball League, Director; and he has coached approximately 250 kids in our community over the last several years in youth sports.
Scott Kidd and his wife, Shannon, live in The Woodlands. Shannon is the Executive Director of the Montgomery County Community Foundation. They have two children, Lorrin and Connor. Lorrin, a 2012 Conroe ISD graduate, is currently teaching first grade in Plano ISD. Connor, a 2016 Conroe ISD graduate, is attending The University of Texas at Austin. The Kidds attend First Baptist Church of the Woodlands, where Mr. Kidd is a Deacon, and he and Shannon have taught youth Bible study over the last several years.
Mr. Kidd’s term expires in 2020.
