Maintenance and Custodial Department Employees Presented with Ambassador Awards

CONROE, TEXAS (July 3, 2018) – The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees gave special recognition to outstanding employees in the Custodial and Maintenance Department at their regular June meeting.

Conroe ISD awards Ambassador Awards to recognize individuals for their positive contributions to campus life and campus climate. The Board of Trustees was proud to honor outstanding employees who exemplify excellence and provide exceptional service to the District. Custodial employees Jimmy Atkinson, Maria Ayala, Laysim Chea, and Julian Guana were recognized for their commitment to Conroe ISD. Their exceptional work ethic contributes to the department and makes them valuable employees.

In addition, the Board honored two Maintenance employees who demonstrate a willingness to help others and an extraordinary dedication to their job. Individuals honored were Michael Cowell and Eliel Yanez.

Marshall Schroeder, Director of Custodial and Maintenance, presented the employees to the Board.

After presenting each with their award, Trustee Datren Williams commented, “You guys truly are unsung heroes of the District. We take our facilities for granted; our grounds for granted. But, we all know that those facilities and grounds that you maintain on a daily basis are on par with any ivy league college. That’s a testament to how well you all do. The District really appreciates you.”
