The TA TEKS in the Information acquisition, Problem solving, and
Communication strands can be addressed in academic content areas by including
the following project-based learning activities utilizing the technology
available on the campus.

Electronic research: CD ROM encyclopedias, on-line databases, and Internet
research. Include search strategies, evaluation of quality (validity) of

Word processing: include editing/revising documents, saving/naming files,
evaluating finished product (font, size, graphics, as well as content)

The TA TEKS in the Foundations strand are specific to technology
use, but can be covered in any of the above projects or in a separate computer
lab class, whichever is appropriate to each campus.
