Conroe ISD Recognized for Excellence in Energy and Resource Management

Conroe ISD received recognition at the December meeting of the Board of Trustees as an outstanding partner in Entergy Texas’ pilot Resource Management Services (RMS) energy savings measure offered through the Entergy Solutions Energy Efficiency Program.

The Entergy Solutions 2015 Outstanding RMS Partner for Excellence in Energy and Resource Management Award acknowledges excellence in energy and resource management achieved through the District’s participation in Entergy’s innovative pilot RMS measure. RMS is a measure offered within the Entergy SCORE (Schools Conserving Resources) Program.

Energy Manager Roger Garvey and Dwight Martin, Assistant Director of the Maintenance and Custodial Department, participated in regular energy management strategy meetings led by CLEAResult and carried out adjustments and behavioral changes recommended through the program to achieve a 3% target savings goal of 80,978,717 kWh.

Prior to presenting the award to the District, Mr. Phil Lanier, Entergy Texas energy efficiency program administrator, stated, “The Entergy Texas Resource Management Services Program was designed specifically for our K-12 and higher education customers. The goal of the program is to enable our customers to save energy and money, through no cost operational and behavioral adjustments while improve the learning environment.”

Trustee Ray Sanders accepted the award on behalf of the District.
