Conroe ISD Parent Resource Center Hosts Resource and Transition Fair
The Conroe ISD Department of Special Education Services Parent Resource Center hosted the 12th Annual Resource and Transition Fair on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at The Woodlands College Park High School. Over 500 parents and students were able to meet with the experts to help prepare for the transition from high school to college and/or the work force. Approximately 85 vendors from colleges, vocational certificate programs, local daily job training sites, residential communities, estate planning /guardianship, and vocation agencies were all in attendance.
In addition, students and parents had the opportunity to connect with community agency support and learn about recreational and social opportunities for all ages.
“I am very proud that Conroe ISD is able to offer a Resource and Transition Fair for our families and community,” stated Judie Hunter, Conroe ISD Parent Liaison. “It’s so wonderful to be able to showcase the many services and opportunities available under one roof.”
