In a time when personal finance and the economy is such a timely and pertinent topic, Conroe ISD is excited to be introducing to every high school senior the opportunity to experience "real-life" through a purposeful and exciting participation in Junior Achievement Finance Park® Virtual.
 
Through the game of Finance Park Virtual, the students will play an interactive computer game where they will create their own avatar and life scenario such as fictional job, age, income, educational background and family. Based on their choices, they encounter real-world situations like how to develop a budge, maintain a household and pursue a career. Each simulation session offers a unique learning objective that builds on previous knowledge. 

During this program, a community volunteer will present lessons to the students on budgeting and options for paying for their future or selecting your career.  THAT IS WHERE YOU COME IN!

We are looking for community volunteers to commit to one school-day to present these much needed lessons to our seniors.

The curriculum is fully prepared and fun!  You will receive training and all the help you need to be successful! 

There is a need for volunteers at Oak Ridge High School and The Woodlands High School at the following days and times:

Oak Ridge High School:
 November 27   7:15 – 2:35
 November 28   7:15 – 2:35
 December 5     8:00 – 1:50
 December 6     8:00 – 1:50

The Woodlands High School:
 November 28   7:20 – 2:35
 November 29   7:20 – 2:35
 December 5     8:10 – 1:50 - Presenter of Lesson is secured but could use some help with student’s activities
 December 6     8:10 – 1:50 - Presenter of Lesson is secured but could use some help with student’s activities
