Conroe ISD’s five high school football coaches kicked off the 2012 “Pigskin Review” on Tuesday, August 7th, at the Rotary Club of Conroe weekly meeting held at Lone Star Convention Center. “Pigskin Review” gives each coach the opportunity to speak on behalf of their players, coaches, and upcoming season. Brent Verzwyvelt (Caney Creek), Roger Holtkamp (Conroe), Dereck Rush (Oak Ridge), Mark Schmid (The Woodlands), and Richard Carson (The Woodlands College Park) all displayed their excitement for the season, but more so, their pride in their players. Conroe ISD Superintendent, Dr. Stockton, Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Hines, and Athletic Director, Danny Long, were all in attendance to show their support for the dedicated coaches. The coaches will also be speaking at the Conroe Noon Lions Club meeting on August 8th, the Rotary Club of East Montgomery County meeting on August 28th, and The Rotary Club of The Woodlands meeting on August 30th.
