Conroe ISD Names Travis Intermediate Principal

Tamika Taylor was named Principal of Travis Intermediate School during the June meeting of the Board of Trustees. Taylor is currently the assistant principal at Rice Elementary. She began her career with Conroe ISD in 2005 when she was hired as a third grade teacher. During the past seven years, she has also served as the counselor at Runyan Elementary and summer school principal.
Ms. Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Northwestern State University and both her Master of Arts degree in Counseling and her Master of Education in Administration from Prairie View A & M University. Taylor said, "I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as the new principal of Travis Intermediate School. I will work diligently to enhance the learning community and uphold the District’s vision of quality instruction, operations and leadership."
