Austin Elementary School The fourth grade program is scheduled for Thursday, May 24. Show times are at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Birnham Woods Elementary School The Book Fair is scheduled for May 16 – 18 visit the book fair in the library. May 17 is scheduled for fourth grade open house beginning at 6 p.m. with a program that same night at 7 p.m. The PTO will host a skate night at SK8 Town on May 22.
Bozman Intermediate School Congratulations to Teacher of the Year Christina Augustine and Humanitarian of the Year Monica Kutter, and Friend of Education Kenneth Elliot. All were honored at the recent TSTA-Conroe ISD Teacher of the Year Banquet.
The Honor Choir placed second in a recent competition.
Congratulates to the students who participated in the Kick the STAAR Soccer Challenge. Fifth graders won all of their games. The Fifth and Sixth Grade Orchestra Spring Concert is Tuesday, May 15.
Fifth and Sixth Grade Band Spring Concert is scheduled for Thursday, May 17. Bozman staff sends support and well wishes to all who are participating in the Tiger Challenge on Friday, May 18.
Buckalew Elementary School Second grade will be enjoying a field trip on May 15-16 to Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center. Among the many activities there, the second graders will be looking for animal tracks, and identifying trees and birds.
The third annual Paperback Book Exchange is May 14-17. Students can bring up to 25 used (but in good condition) paperback books to the library. Students will receive "book bucks" for each book and may use these bucks to shop for paperback books on May 18.
Conroe High School Recently the Culinary Arts class had the privilege of participating in the Montgomery County Tastefest at the Lone Star Convention Center. There were over a hundred food service organizations and restaurants at the event. Samples were handed out to hundreds of guests.
Congrats to the Drum Majors for the new school year for the Legendary Conroe Tiger Band. They are Bailey Sikorski, Janie Fredrickson and Logan Siple.
Recently the choirs participated in the American Classic "Big D" Music Festival at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas. There were over 90 groups participating in the festival. The choir received a Superior Division 1 rating, an Outstanding Performance award, Second Runner Up to Best in Festival, and Kelsie Randles received the Outstanding Festival Soloist Award.
The results of the Special Olypmics for CHS are: Cody Smith - Gold and Silver Medal winner, Casey Smith - Gold and Bronze medal winner, Katy Hooten - two Silver Medal winner, and Aerianna Deluna - Silver and Bronze Medal winner.
Creighton Elementary School Friday, May 18, is a school wide Author's Celebration. Students will share their writing with parents, staff, and each other.
Fourth grade will go to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Wednesday, May 23, to hear the Sam Houston State University Symphony Concert.
David Elementary School The end-of-year award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 30. The first and second grade ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. and the third and fourth grade ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Ford Elementary School A cup stacking tournament is scheduled during specials on May 16.
The Scholastic Book Fair will continue until May 18. Evening Book Fair will be on Thursday, May 17 from 4-6 p.m.
The Student Council will have an end-of-the-year party on Monday, May 21, from 1:15-1:45 p.m.
Part one of the kindergarten graduations will be held Tuesday, May 22 at 9:30 a.m.
Galatas Elementary School The fourth grade program "Destination: America!" is a coast-to-coast musical tribute which will be on Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m. Science Camp Week will kick off on May 21. The theme this year is "Robotics."
Glen Loch Elementary School The amazing volunteers who dedicate countless hours will be recognized at a reception held in their honor on Friday, May 18 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Third and fourth grade students will participate in a field day activity under the direction of P.E. teacher Kristi Turner on Friday, May 18.
Grangerland Intermediate School The following sixth grade students received a "Caught Ya Bein' Good" for displaying good citizenship: Lila Bleakley, John Collins, Victor Cuellar, Nick Guerra, David Knight, Diamond Lewis, Miguel Lopez, Shelby Lucius, Ashley Norris, Bailey Oliphant, Bradley Posada, Rene Quintero, Marissa Ramirez, Gage Randi, Ricky Seyer, Maria Turrubiartes, Cameron Weaks, Emily Welch, and Jaelyn Youngblood.
Several students received a "Golden Referral" for displaying outstanding character. These students are fifth graders: Samuel Adame, Gavin Cortez, Wilson McIntosh, Noah Miller, John Neeley, Justin Turner, and Enrique Lozano Zamudio. Sixth grade was represented by: Modesto Galvan, Austin May, and Jaelyn Youngblood.
Hailey Elementary School Students are looking forward to Celebration Day on Friday, May 18th. Thank you to Kroger at Cochran's Crossing for a donation to the school’s beautification project!
Houser Elementary School On May 14, the fourth grade students will travel to the YMCA for a day of physical activity and fun filled events. " JoJo the Mosquito" will present information on the life cycle and prevention of mosquitoes to third grade students. This itchy event will be held on May 15.
Field Day arrives on Friday May 18. This annual event for all students will last throughout the entire day. Parent volunteers are welcome to help and enjoy the fun.
Houston Elementary School The broadcast team recently toured the KTRK Channel 13 studio to see the "behind-the-scenes" action that takes place during a live news broadcast. Participants were Amaya Powell, Janie Lopez, Moses Perales, Adan Ramos, Melissa Elvira, Karlie Scallan, Lauren Sherrod, Aaliyah Pratt, Reynaldo Benejas, Abigail Lopez, Javier Barrera, and Jacob Loredo.

Knox Junior High School The Radio Broadcast team will be attended a field trip to ABC 13. Members of the cast and crew include: Holly Childree, Sofia Conner, Ashley Craig, Antonella Perolini, and Jack Rust.
The Spring Choir Concert and Knox Idol Finale will be held at College Park on Monday, May 14. The three finalists for Knox Idol are: Caroline Booth, Cara Ellison, and Collin Tucker. The winner will be announced the night of the performance.
Eighth grade Field Day will take place on Friday, May 18.
Knox Award Night will be on Monday, May 21.
McCullough Junior High School Yearbooks will be delivered Friday, May 18 during advisory. A limited number of extra books will be available for purchase before school on Monday, May 21 in room A207 at 8:05 am.
The P.T.O. is providing an opportunity to pre-order school supplies online. This purchase will be for the basic set of school supplies needed for 2012-2013. To pre-order the shrink-wrapped EPI supplies, go to www.epipacks.com and use code MCC064. These supplies are $35 and will be distributed at Student Orientation. If ordering supplies online, the student must be at Student Orientation to pick up the materials. The deadline for ordering is June 15.
Milam Elementary School Fourth grade students will listen to a presentation by the Grangerland Intermediate Band on Thursday, May 17.
Students in grades 1-4 will have Field Day on Friday, May 18.
Fourth grade students will visit the Conroe YMCA on Monday, May 21.
The Specials Team will present awards to each grade on Tuesday, May 22.

Mrs. Sutton submitted 11 eighth grade advanced art students portfolios to the high school for Art II Acceleration. Any students selected to be part of the program get to skip Art I in high school and go straight into the Art II classes.
