Bruce C. Tough, current Second Vice
President of CISD Board of Trustees, is an attorney who is engaged in the
general practice of civil trial litigation in The Woodlands, Montgomery County,
Houston, Harris County and surrounding counties. Mr. Tough earned his
undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in 1976, graduating with a
Bachelor of Science degree with honors. He received his law degree from
the University of Houston Law Center in 1980. He is an elected director of
The Woodlands Community Association, director and Vice President for Economic
Development of the Chamber of Commerce for The Woodlands/South Montgomery
Chamber of Commerce, president of The Woodlands Fire Department and Chairman of
The Woodlands Community Service Corporation. Mr. Tough is Chairman of the
Audit Committee for the CISD Board of Trustees and serves on the Montgomery
County Justice Counsel representing CISD.
Mr. Tough has been president of First Night
of The Woodlands, YMCA Partners of Youth Team Captain, Chairman of the
Nominating Committee for the Boy Scouts George Strake District, Chairman of the
Advisory Board-Memorial Hermann Hospital, and 1998 Graduate Leadership
Montgomery County. He has been recognized as a Hometown Hero in The
Woodlands, Texas and Citizen of the Year by The Woodlands/South Montgomery
Chamber of Commerce. He
and his wife, Diana, have four daughters, Madison, Tara, Abby and Sidney.
Mr. Tough's term expires in 2010.
