Lynda Sasser, current Board President, is a retired Conroe Independent School District educator and is fulfilling her first term of service on the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Sasser received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from West Texas A&M University in 1969 with a Major in English and a Minor in Government. After joining the Conroe Independent School District in 1987, Mrs. Sasser completed sixteen years of teaching before retiring in May 2003.
 
 Mrs. Sasser is an active member in the Montgomery County Retired Teachers’ Association, and remains active in CISD schools by volunteering at different campuses. She is on the Administrative Board of First United Methodist Church of Conroe, a Sustainer in the Conroe Service League, a member in the Rotary Club, and a member on the Legislative Advisory Council for Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). Lynda and her husband Bob have two children, Brian and Kim, who are graduates of CISD.
 
 Mrs. Sasser’s term expires in 2008.
